The Lace Yoke Cardigan is a pretty top-down baby cardigan with a delicate Japanese lace circular yoke and feminine blousy sleeves. It is knitted in one piece from the top down with integrated bands, so no seaming is required. The buttonholes are part of the lace pattern in the front right band, so the number and positions of buttons can be customised and decided on completion.
The pattern requires fingering or light sport weight yarn and is in five sizes (0 - 3, 3 - 6, 6 - 12, 12 - 18 months and 18 months to 2 years). Full written instructions are included, as well as a lace chart for optional use. A detailed schematic diagram is supplied, and all measurements are given in metric as well as imperial units.
The cardigan yoke and body are knitted flat, while instructions are given for knitting the sleeves either flat or in-the-round.
