This knit scarf is fun easy to remember and goes fairly quickly. I loved making it in the Red Heart Stars and Stripes yarn.

I had made a hat first, and didn’t have enough yarn left to make the scarf, but added plain white on each end to make it long enough. I feel that worked out well.

To make this scarf with the solid color on the back of the neck instead of each end, you could weight the left over on a kitchen scale, divide it in half; knit with half the striped yarn; add a color for the back of neck section then knit with the last half of the striped yarn. I think that would come out really well as another option if you would like the hat and scarf set.
