The scarf in the photos has been made with Paton’s Big Baby 8ply wool, but any size yarn will work, just make sure to get the right size hook for your yarn.

The final length is about 230 centimeters or 90 inches. You can increase the length by repeating the shells until the desired length is reached.

I had about 10 yards left of the second skein of yarn, so if you’re not sure, or want to make an even longer scarf, err on the side of caution and have 3 skeins on hand.
