This is a pattern for a lace crochet coaster (small doily), made with cotton thread size ten (such as Red Heart Classic Crochet Thread size 10) and a steel hook 1.6 mm.

The finished coaster measures about 4 inches across. It is easy and quick to make, and requires only a small amount of thread. You can make a set of these coasters quickly and inexpensively for a beautiful handmade gift, personal use, or for sale.
