Lacy Day (Baby/Child)
Lacy Day is knit bottom-up and joined in the round at the underarm, for a nearly seamless finish. The classic yoke is created through a series simple decrease rows with added short-rows for a comfortable and flattering fit. The lace trim is simple, yet stunning, and knits right into the pattern from the get-go. Knit in worsted-weight yarn for the body, this lovely and delicate little sweater will fall off your needles.
I love that this little sweater is so comfortably functional, and yet so quietly beautiful. The first few years go by so quickly, and our soft little people have such sweet and gentle features. The three-quarter length sleeve with the lace cuff truly highlights those delicate and soft little arms, and the open rounded neck shows off their happy little face. The lace bottom gives extra coverage as well for busy little babies who are picked up, put down, and chased around. On an older child this delicate lace is beautiful and adds an element of maturity and style to a classic garment.
Lacy Day is also available in adult sizes and fingerless mitts, for those who love matching sets!
