Lacy Days of Elegance Shawl
This special shawl deserves a special occasion. Think a wedding a prom, a ball or a chic evening out. It makes for a lovely gift as well. The good news is that it works up very fast, in less than 10 hours and uses different types of c2c lace shells.
Skill level required is advanced beginner (the pattern is written in US crochet terms with a link to UK abbreviation translations). If you worked with c2c before, you will find that this pattern has no difficult surprises to you. If you haven’t worked c2c before, this is a simple pattern to get started with the technique. The shawl is made up of different types of c2c lace shells with an added edging. It is worked as a corner to corner triangle, bottom up with a separate edge added once the body of the shawl has your preferred length.
Size
This shawl measures 185 cm / 73 inches wide and 85 cm / 33.5 inch long from the middle of the top down to the bottom corner (edge included). The pattern gives suggestion for how to lengthen the shawl.
Yarn:
√ #3 (DK) or #4 (Aran/Worsted) weight yarn: 500-600 meters/ 550-650 yards. The yarn used in the example was Phildar Legende 392.
Recommended yarns for this pattern can be Garnstudio DROPS Alpaca Bouclé, Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball Stripes or Lincraft Cakes Illusion. This list is by no means exhaustive, only meant to give some ideas. Many yarns lend themselves to make this shawl.
