Finished Size

• Headband: About 21⁄2” (6.5 cm) wide and 19” (48.5 cm) circumference. Barrette: About 21⁄2”(6.5 cm) tall and 41⁄2” (11.5 cm) wide from point to point.

Yarn

• Lana Gatto Wool Gatto (100% wool; 181 yd165 m/50 g): #12946 Orange: 1 ball will make both headband and barrette.

Needles

• Size 0 (2 mm): set of 3 dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions

• Contrasting waste yarn; stitch holders; tapestry needle; 6” x 6” (15 cm x 15 cm) non-woven felt and 3” x 6” (7.5 cm x 15 cm) iron on adhesive for backing barrette; sharp-pointed sewing needle and matching thread for backing barrette; short hairstick or spare knitting needle for securing barrette.
