-Instructions are written out in detail and I use lots of close up photos . American Crochet Terms and only basic crochet knowledge is needed.

-Different sizes and types of yarn can be used- I used Tahki Cotton Classic which is a DK weight for the thread examples (fingering weight or size 3 crochet thread would be a little smaller, but similar). I used different brands of acrylic worsted weight yarns for the worsted weight examples. Hook sizes needed are a size 3.25mm or smaller crochet hook for thread hearts (I used a 3.25mm for the DK weight examples) or a size 5.00mm crochet hook for the worsted weight yarn. You will also need a tapestry needle and scissors.

-Completed heart size will depend on the type of yarn or thread used. The DK weight lacy hearts are about 2 inches in diameter and the worsted weight lacy hearts measure about 3 inches in diameter. The plain worsted weight hearts measure about 2 1/2 inches in diameter for the larger hearts and about 2 inches in diameter for the smaller hearts.
