Lacy, Lazy Boyfriend
Boxy, comfortable and boyfriendish! Yet soft, with a feminine touch and elegant enough to be seen in outside your livingroom!
This pullover was a pure luxury for me to knit - as I really enjoy fast knitted stochinette st from time to time! The alpaca from Ilóyarn is so soft and knits up beautifully - and is great to wear next to my skin.
This is my favorite style! I always need pullovers like this one - it makes me happy any day! -easy to knot around my shoulders whenever I expect the wheater to change, lightweight and easy to bring along. Depending on the color I choose I can go from boyfriendish to elegant - and with the lace cuffs, neckline and tiny eyelet rib-border I also find it feminine.
Knitting is easy starting with the body worked in the round on circular needles, divided at arm-opening where front and back are worked seperately. Shoulders are seamed together (the only seam necessary!), and stiches are picked up around the arm-openings to be knitted in the round and top-down. Sleeves are finished off with lace-cuffs, and stiches are picked up around neckline to add some lace as a finishing touch.
