This pattern works well for a variety of different thicknesses of yarn and needle sizes. The lacy leaf pattern makes for a very elegant design. Pattern is very easy to memorize and the snood knits up pretty quickly. A snood makes a great gift for the dog or dog lover’s dog in your life.

Gauge in chunky weight yarn in stockinette stitch:
10 st x 16 r = 4” square

Gauge is not super important in this pattern. I have personally made this snood in several different yarn weights and needle sizes and they’ve all turned out well. Thinner yarn and smaller needles = smaller snood, thick yarn and big needles will give you a larger snood.
Pattern was created for medium to large dogs. ( Vizsla, Pitbulls, Greyhounds, Dobermans, etc.)
