This is an adaptation of the Lacy Mandala Vest for Girls, using a single colour, 12 ply yarn instead of the self-striping, 10 ply yarn. The two smaller sizes require a 6.5mm hook, while the largest size uses a 7mm hook.

This vest is worked in the round with no seams, and is fastened with two front ties that are worked as part of the final edging round.

The sizing refers to a child’s age, but since children’s sizes do vary, I used the following measurements:
4-6 = 60cm chest
6-8 = 66cm chest
8-10 = 72cm chest.

The two smaller sizes use 2 x 200g balls of BWM Classic, and the large size uses 3 balls. You could try any 12 ply yarn as a substitute.
