Lacy Sari
Somewhere between a shawl, sweater, and sari, this elegant cardigan shares the same basic shape as my Sari Cardi but with a pretty lace twist!
The sizing is flexible, as the draped cowl neckline has lots of room for a large bust, or drapes beautifully over a small one.
As shown, there are two different yarns used in this project! I purposefully chose a yarn that comes in both fingering and lace weight, with the same colors in both weights. The laceweight yarn is used for the lace border, and the fingering weight is used for the body. If you prefer, you could use lace weight yarn single in the border, and double in the body, if you wish to use a yarn that does not come in more than one weight.
Sizing is more accurate if you go by hip measurement: 28-32 (32-36, 36-40, 40-44, 44-48, 48-52) inches
Lace weight yarn: 250 (275, 300, 350, 375, 425) yards
Fingering weight yarn: 650 (725, 800, 825, 950, 1025) yards
As mentioned above, you can double the yardage of fingering, and hold lace doubled in place of a separate fingering weight yarn.
