This pattern is for a lacy shell crochet cowl. It can be done with a variety of yarns, or even hooks…depending on what your tastes are. It is a very adaptable pattern. I set the difficulty at “intermediate” only because there are special stitches involved, but even a beginner could tackle this project as the stitches are clearly explained in the pattern.

Also, this project takes very little yarn, works up quickly and makes a wonderful gift. Its simply beautiful.
