3/23/10 - 2 new pdf versions (complete + charts only)

3/21/10 - errata on chart 1 rows 15, 19, 23, 27, 31, 35 and 39 where I have 1 too many decrease on each side of the center of each diamond.

This scarf is worked in 3 sections (see all pictures) and a border is knitted-on afterward.
I used 2 skeins of yarn and a small amount of the third one.
A PDF with charts and instructions is provided.

The central section (horizontal) is based on Susanna Lewis “Knitting Lace” page 34, slightly modified.
The vertical sections are based on it with a simplified lace pattern (my own) inside the diamond .

I recommend “Victorian Lace” and “Knits from the North Sea” as two very valuable books to clarify the technique of adding a knitted border to the work.
