“Lacy Summer” is a floral spring hat with a delicate lace-like pattern. A stylish and elegant hat perfect for any lady to wear for a casual event.

This modest hat is super easy to make and can be crocheted in a very short time. I have added a photo tutorial as well so it will be even more easier to make this hat.

A little bit of the back story of this hat:
I made this hat in 2010, just a day later after my birthday in May. It just took me 12 years to write this pattern even though it is such an easy pattern, Phew!

You see one of those people who always are doing something, who can’t sit idle for even a minute of their waking hours. Yup! That person is me, the busy bee .

Life happens and there has been a lot of things that I’ve been doing till date. So this project got in the back of the queue out of my 101 million WIP projects in my list. Finally, I sat down yesterday to write this pattern.

By the time I was done writing the pattern and doing its photo tutorial, I was almost crocheting in my sleep while doing the tutorial, lol. My stubborn self just wouldn’t let me sleep till I got this finished and out of my UFO’s list.

It’s done now and I can’t even describe the wonderful feeling I am feeling right now. A feeling of satisfaction, of sheer joy that my pattern is complete now for all of you to enjoy.

Suggested Yarns:
You will need approximately 80-85 yards (45 – 50 g) of Aran weight yarn for making this lacy hat.

I Used:
Caron Simply Soft Solids(100% Acrylic; 315 yds288 m/6.00 oz 170 g; CYCA # 4): #5 Blackberry, 1 skein.

Crochet Hook Size:
5mm/ H-8 crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
