I adapted this scarf from a lace pattern I found in a 1912 publication titled ‘A Book of Edgings for Pillow Slips, Dresser Covers, Towels and Dress Trimmings.’ If you have ever tried to follow a very old crochet pattern you know that deciphering the instructions can be very confusing. My version is much easier to understand and to make. Although it looks complicated, my pattern is very simple to make - if you can make single and double crochet stitches, you can make this scarf.
