This shawl is suitable for an advanced beginner in lace knitting.

This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. It knits up fairly quickly and would make the ideal gift, for yourself or someone that’s very special to you. It is made up of two different lace stitches. Both are both written out line by line, and charted. The final size is 18 inches by 72 inches, but there are ways to vary the size contained within the pattern. There are also instructions for an optional edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting)

The yarn used in the sample is Fleece Artists/Handmaiden’s BFL Sport in Mulberry.
