Pricing update: I have increased my prices to more accurately represent the work that has gone into the making of my patterns. All my patterns have increased in prices, however my newer designs have increased more than my old ones, as I feel I have learned a lot over the years and the quality of my newer designs is higher. The price listed reflects what I believe is fair for the work put into the design, however I understand that the price increases may be inaccessible to some and am offering some tiered discounts for those that need them.

A “Choose What You Pay” model is available for this pattern, allowing both financial accessibility and fair pricing. The buyer may pay what they are able while still valuing the hard work invested to create this design. Use the codes below in order to pay the price listed after each. The Ladder Rungs Headband is a quick knit headband with a unique stitch pattern that results in a ladder style pattern. The scarf is knit using a garter stitch edge and stockinette for the center portion with some loops creating the ladder “rungs”. Knit using the soft, squishy Knitpicks Biggo yarn, this is great cozy quick project!

Sizes offered:
X-Small: ~16 inch circumference (unstretched)
Small: ~17.2 inch circumference (unstretched)
Medium: ~18.8 inch circumference (unstretched)
Large: ~20 inch circumference (unstretched)

These measurements are based off of my sample piece, yours may vary slightly depending on gauge and tension. Please choose a size that is approximately 2-4 inches smaller than your head circumference. You are also free to modify the length of this pattern as you desire, these sizes are intended to be a general guideline for your headband circumference and for yardage estimation.

Needles required:
8 mm for body (circular or straight needles)
may need other size needles to meet gauge

Gauge:
12 sts x 14 rows equals a 4x4 inch square/10x10 cm in stockinette
3 sts x 3.5 rows equals a 1x1 inch square/2.5x2.5 cm

Yarn required:
Any bulky weight yarn that you can get gauge with.
I used Knitpicks Biggo (110 yds per 100 g ball) in Sapphire Heather.

Yardage required:
X-Small: ~32grams, 35 yards
Small: ~35 grams, 38 yards
Medium: ~38 grams, 42 yards
Large: ~40 grams, 44 yards
