This shawl features a lace and mock cable stitch which comes to us from Japan, and is accentuated with a Japanese ladder stitch. All symbols have been translated from Japanese to the symbols that are familiar to Western knitters. Combined, they make a unique and delicate shawl.

The pattern also contains instructions for an optional crocheted edging.

All stitches are charted only.

Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of lace knitting.)
Skill Level for the optional Edging: Intermediate (assuming a working knowledge of crocheting)

The shawl shown in the sample was made Lorna’s Laces Sportmate yarn in colorway, Key Largo.
