Ladders to the Moon
I offer - it’s intermedium pattern.
Brioche knitting is a simple multicolor technique where you can mix your favourite colors and yarns!
Two-color brioche is reversible and results in like two different shawl - You can wear both sides. Each counted row is worked twice.
The shawl is knitted as 2-color brioche and simple lace parts. These parts alternate.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 71” (180cm) wide x 24” (62cm) long, after blocking.
YARN: Drops Alpaca yarn, 100% alpaca, or ohter the same gauge yarn. I used yellow and dark grey.
GAUGE: 10 x 10 cm (4“) = 23 sts x 30 rows, this is yarn official gauge.
Weight / yardage: 1.8 oz (50 g) = approx 183 yds (167 m).
YARN CONSUMPTION more than 100g one and 100g another color. My shawl weights about 240g. MC yarn used 120g/ 350m/ 400yd in total; CC yarn used the same 120g.
NEEDLES: 24” (60cm) or 32” (80cm) circular needle in US 4/ 3.5mm
OTHER TOOLS: Tapestry needle (in ends), 2 stitch markers.
Brioche and knittings abbreviations, - you have to know: brk, brp, brkyobrk, sl1yo, k, p, yo, sk2p, slip, and other.
