This chunky little jacket is as much fun to wear as it is to make. It’s so easy and so quick to knit. Version one has a wider front band which turns over to form a collar. Version two, has a narrower band that lays into the neck and hints of vintage style.
It looks great with jeans and is a favourite with all generations. I always use at least two different fabrics or ribbons, that way more colour can be introduced and blended with the yarn. Search out the tweeds and the multicolour yarns. As some ironing is required, make sure the yarn you choose can take the heat. Alternately dispense with the Bondaweb* and use tiny running stitches to secure the band facings into place.
