This shrug is a combination of traditional lace patterns, techniques, and the frequent need for a little something to cover the shoulders. It is versatile, practical, comfortable, and above all beautiful. You can layer it over a dress for a formal event, or pair it with a tank top and jeans for a girl’s night out.

This shrug is knit from a provisional cast on at the center back down to the cuff, eliminating the need to graft at the back. A traditional shawl edging technique is used for the bell shaped cuff. Tips for customizing the sizes are included.

The pattern includes charts and line-by-line instructions for the lace, schematics, and notes on alterations.

There are many yarns that would be excellent for this pattern. I have included suggestions. Any heavy sock weight yarn with natural elasticity would work well.
