The Lady Gudobele ladies’ tunic is worked from the bottom up to the armhole in one piece in the round, from where on it is continued in back- and forth rows. At armhole level, work is divided, and front and back are worked separately, then shoulders are joined using the three-needle bind-off method.
This garmen has been created specially for Linen Assorti.
You will need:
– yarn SIŪLAS Lithuanian Linen 3 ply (100% linen; 100 g – 600 m [3.5 oz – 656 yds]), yarn held double;
– knitting needles 2.75 and 2.5 mm [US2 and US1½]
or other size to obtain gauge;
– 3; 3; 3 (4; 4; 4) (5; 5; 5) buttons of 1 cm [0.4 in] diameter (if desired);
– stitch markers;
– stitch holder or piece of auxiliary yarn, tapestry needle;
– auxiliary needle.
Gauge:
22 sts and 36 rows/rounds = 10x10 cm [4x4 in], in stockinette stitch, using 2.75 mm [US2] needles, after blocking and slightly stretched.
