Lady of the Rings Shawl
This is a slightly extended version of my ’Pretty As… Shawl’ which used Scheepjes Whirl yarn. For this ‘Lady of the Rings Shawl’, I used the lovely, soft fingering (4 ply) 100% Bendigo Woollen Mills Cotton yarn. This shawl features rows of ‘rings’, which is what suggested the name to me.
Gauge is not crucial to this design, so you can use whatever thickness yarn, and whatever size hook necessary to get a nice drape. Just be aware that thicker yarn will produce a larger finished item.
I would suggest this pattern to be appropriate for intermediate crocheters, though adventurous beginners would probably manage it. There are a couple of diagrams to help decipher how to do the rings - once these are worked out, the rest of the shawl is easy.
