Ladybug Blanket
I love Ladybugs! What about you? This Ladybug baby blanket is an amazing gift that will be treasured for years to come!
The panel of this pattern can be mixed and matched with ANY of my other BABY BLANKET patterns!
Materials: 4.5mm or 6mm hook (depending on intended blanket size), 1200-1500yds of yarn, tapestry needle for sewing ends, (optional) stitch markers for counting, scissors
Stitches used: (US Terminology) chain, single crochet, double crochet, moss stitch
Special stitches are explained within the pattern.
Gauge: Gauge is not particularly important to this pattern. If you are a tight crocheter, go up at least 1 hook size in order to achieve the flexibility of a snuggly blanket.
Numerical Filet Explained:
• Numerical filet is a system of numbers and commas, where numbers are the amount of double crochet stitches, and commas represent “chain 1, skip 1 stitch”
• Do not make a “chain 1, skip 1 stitch” unless you see a comma
• Example:
o Row reads: 32 , 55 , 3 , 14 , 43
o Translation: place 32 double crochet stitches, then chain 1 and skip 1 space, then place 55 stitches, then chain 1 and skip 1 space, then place 3 double crochet stitches, chain 1 skip 1 space, place 14 double crochet stitches, chain 1 skip 1 space, place 43 double crochet stitches
I want everyone to feel comfortable with being able to read my pattern style, so here is a small pattern segment to give you a better idea of how I write my patterns.
Pattern Segment:
Row 19: 15 , 19 , 21 , 19 , 21 , 19 , 15
