Thank you for choosing this pattern! I hope you have fun making this quick and easy Ladybird keyring.
Fun fact: where I live, there are three different names for this bug: ladybug, ladybird, and bishy barnabee. Hopefully that explains the title!

You will need:
4mm hook
Dk yarn in red and black
Safety eyes (for eyes)
Small dots (I used small safety eyes for this as well, but you can use felt or embroidery)
Keychain
If you want to use other hook sizes or yarns, feel free!

Techniques in this pattern:
Magic Ring
• Make a slip knot and work the first row into the ring.
• Pull the end thread of the knot tight to close the circle.
Invisible Decrease
• Insert the hook into the front loops of the next two stitches.
• Yarn over and through.
• Complete the stitch like a normal sc.

Stitches:
Single Crochet (SC)
Increase (Inc) – two SC stitches in one stitch
Decrease (Dec) – see ‘Invisible Decrease’ tutorial at end. Normal Dec stitches can be used if preferred!

Notes: This pattern is worked in a spiral, with one round moving continuously into the next without turning. If you would prefer to work in rows, Ch1 and turn at the start of each round, making sure that your colour changes are all worked on the same side.
