Materials.—4 oz. Patons’ super Scotch Fingering wool, 2-pIy. The original was worked with 2 oz. each dark blue and light blue. Two No. 6 and two No. 10 knitting needles (Old UK).

Measurements.—Length from top of shoulder, 18 in. Width all round at under-arm; 34 in. Length of sleeve from underarm, 18 in.

Work at a tension to produce six stitches to the inch, measured over the plain, smooth fabric—the correct size will only be obtained by exactly following this instruction. It is necessary to use a separate ball of wool for each section in the pattern, joining each section by twisting the color to be used round, underneath, to the right of the color just used.
