The River Lagan is the main river that flows through Belfast, out into Belfast Lough and then the Irish Sea. As a child I walked the towpath with my dad and sister, and in recent times it has become a favourite walk for my husband and me. From Autumn through to Spring, a hat is often a necessary accessory!
The Lagan Hat is a basic DK weight hat, with the cables giving it just a little bit extra interest, and representing the winding nature of the river.
The pattern has four sizes, ranging from toddler to large adult. It is knit using a short circular but can be adapted to knit using the magic loop method or with dpns. A longer cable or DPNs will be required for the crown decreases.
