The River Lagan is the main river that flows through Belfast, out into Belfast Lough and then the Irish Sea. As a child, I walked the towpath with my dad and sister, and in recent times it has become a favourite walk for my husband and me. From Autumn through to Spring, fingerless mitts are often a necessary accessory!
The Lagan Mitts are knit using DK weight yarn, with cables on the front of the design, representing the winding nature of the river. The Mitts have a short cuff, if you prefer the cuff to be longer just knit the rib to the length you desire, recognising this will impact the amount of yarn you will require. The pattern has four sizes, ranging from toddler to large adult. It is knit using the magic loop method but can easily be adapted to suit dpns.
