This is a cabled beret inspired by Lagertha, Shieldmaiden and Queen from the History Channel show Vikings. It is a companion piece to the cowl pattern Lagertha’s Shield. They use the same cable, which is based on the design on Lagertha’s shield.

In addition to the yarns listed above, the beret was test knit in Rhapsody in Hue’s Caledonia. The mediums seemed to use a little less than 150 yards while the large used less than 175.
