Lagufathm Cowl
I found a few balls of this vintage, acrylic multi-coloured yarn at a local thrift store. It’s a darker colour change than I usually find, but I still wanted to make it into something lovely. Even if the cables are a bit subdued by this colour, they are still fun to knit and can stand out in their own muted way.
This dark blue-black yarn knit up quite well in this undulating cable motif cowl. The dark curves reminded me of waves forming in the night-time sea, heaving, swelling, and surrounding everything. I called this Lagufathm which is Old English for “the sea’s embrace”.
