Expression Fiber Arts Ephemeral Fingering (original version) OR
Expression Fiber Arts Amal Fingering (updated version)
Original version is shown in colors: 1 skein each (A) Laiken, (B) Cambrilla, and (C) Indra Ephemeral Fingering.
Updated version is shown in colors: 1 skein each (A) Accomplish, (B) Clarity, and (C) Laughter Amal Fingering.
If those colors aren’t available, any from this category will work.
Approximately 780 yards total were used for the samples shown.
Gauge is crucial when this pattern is made with Amal Fingering because you will use all or nearly all of C1. If you knit loosely and are worried about running out of yarn, you can reduce the number of times you repeat Rows 9-16.
Needles:
US #3 (3.25 mm) circular needles, 24” (60 mm) cable
Advanced Beginner- For those knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations.
Notes From the Designer:
•Design ideas come to me from different places. Sometimes a memory, sometimes a color combination, and sometimes the characteristics of the yarn itself inspire me. When a yarn has a slight bit of shine, I like to keep the stitch patterns simple, letting the different play of light on the knit and purl stitches take center stage.
•The boomerang shape of this shawl makes it very easy to wear, staying snug on your shoulders. The shape also allows for simple adjustments to create a smaller or larger version. The pima cotton blend yarn makes it lightweight, soft and comfortable. Basic knit and purl stitch combinations make it a fairly easy pattern to knit. I hope you love it!
