PATTERN RETIRED AUGUST 2020
Having recently discovered Fair Isle/stranded knitting and deciding that I wanted a tunic, I discovered that none of the existing patterns were quite right for my needs so set about writing this pattern for myself.
It is and will only ever be in one size - an AU14 - but please feel free to make whatever alterations you require for it to fit YOU.
Sample shown was knit in Bendigo Woollen Mills Luxury DK in Cerise (MC) - 988 metres and Limelicious (CC) - 148 metres.
My gauge tends to be fairly relaxed so you might require additional yarn than noted above.
Needles and Notions
Size 3.25mm 40cm circular (neck) and 3.25mm DPN’s for sleeve cuffs.
Size 4.0mm 40cm, 60cm and 80cm to accommodate the varying stitch count on the body. Or you may wish to work in magic loop on a longer cable.
Size 5.0mm for bind off only.
Four stitch markers in 3 distinct colours - one EOR, one mid-round, and two for keeping track of body increases after sleeve separation.
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
My sincere thanks to yarnymama for her invaluable assistance with editing and hand-holding during the pattern writing process.
