Lake District Shawl
Lake District Shawl is a crescent shaped shawl created with a wave like pattern. The stitch reminds me of ripples on the lakes in the British Lake District on a cloudy day when worked with blue/grey colorways and hills, valleys and public footpaths in green/peach colors. Lots of good memories of holidays knitted into every stitch.
While gauge is not essential for this project it is strongly recommended. The gauge given is after blocking the swatch.
The lace/eyelet stitch pattern used is a compilation of several stitch patterns I adapted to create the final design. The pattern includes recognition of the sources of these patterns.
Carodan Farm Tides Gradient 6 Pak allows for unique use of the yarns. The pictures show how both colorways and order of yarn change the final project.
Corrections
Border written instructions: R15 at the end of the row should read p3, k3 NOT k6.
R21 at the beginning of the row should read Sl1p, wyif, k2 NOT k3.
I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. The charts are correct.
