From the book:
“Striped sock yarns don’t always work for crochet socks, so most of us crochet sock lovers avoid them for fear of blotchy colors. The best solution is to work what I’d like to call ‘intentional stripes,’ which use a single slip (sl) stitch join to hide the color changes and avoid jogs. Try as many color changes as you can think of! These socks are also wonderful for using up old sock yarn scraps to make your own special colorway.

“These toe-up socks are worked with a four-point toe, strong heel, and simple ribbed cuff.”
