This pattern was designed as a chemo hat for a young lady, Lakken, who at 10 shows grace & dignity under the fire of brain cancer.

She loves butterflies & purple. The butterfly is on a removable band, no connecting stitches are on the inside of the hat to irritate a sensitive scalp. It is able to be removed to be washed by hand while the hat is machine washed.

The pattern goes together quickly in the size of your choice with a variety of of stitches & yarns to give a fun, yet attractive design. The gauge is not important as you will be measuring for the size you want & counting the stitches as you go.

You can mix & match any worsted yarns, joining different textures to bring the design to life. Several hats can emerge from just a couple skeins. I have also included instructions for additional accessories for your hat. A rose & heart are enclosed, other designs are being designed & will be sent as finished.
