This beret is made with the waistcoat st giving it a knitted look. It will be a stiffer beret that will hold its shape making it easy to wear the way you want!!

10” across for an 18” -24” head circumference

CH-chain
Sl st- slip stitch
SCW(Waistcoat st)- insert our hook directly through the center of the crochet stitch from the row below, pull up a loop, YO, pull through both loops
INC- 2 SCW in same st
HDC- half double crochet
HDC in 3rd loop- HDC in back of the HDC st and in the 3rd loop behind
Duplicate st-sewing a st in a contrasting color over existing st
