The vest is made up of 66 floral granny squares for size L & 58 for size M. They are joined using slip stitch on the wrong side. If you never worked with squares, feel free to watch a few tutorials on YouTube while you practise.

The yarn of choice was 4ply cotton because I wanted it to be quite sturdy but not too heavy.

The baseline of this design are the sizes M & L. To make the larger versions, you simply size up the hook from 2.5mm to 3, 3.5, or add rows of dc to the side squares before joining.

M: 440g/1390m/1520yards
L: 490g/1548m/1692yards

Fabric stiffener may be needed depending on the yarn used if you wish for the petals to stay open at all times. Otherwise, you can enjoy the vest in a more bud like version.
