Note: It seems that other knitters are not able to get as many rows out of their MC as I did. When starting the project, keep in mind that everyone knits differently, and different styles of knitting will take up different amounts of yarn, even if gauges match. The pattern is written such that it does not matter where you end, but your bottom triangle will be smaller if you get fewer rows in.

This pattern takes its name from beautiful old diamond lattice windows on a house on Lambton Road in my neighbourhood. They have taken on different angles as the house has settled over the years, so they almost twinkle as the sun bounces off in different directions when you walk by.

I had a lot of fun working this pattern in the Third Vault Yarns custom Cowtown gradient. You can find it and other beautiful gradients at ThirdVaultYarns.com. The pattern would also look fun with a variegated yarn for the CC.

SUGGESTED YARN
Third Vault Yarns Companion 4ply; 100% Merino Wool; 437 yds 400 m / 3.53 oz 100 g - 1 skein each of Blue Steel (MC) and Cowtown (CC).

NEEDLES
US #5/3.75 mm long circular (at least 32”/80 cm)—or size needed to obtain gauge as listed.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, 8 stitch markers, cable needle.

Gauge
21 stitches and 46 rows = 4”/10 cm in lattice pattern, blocked. Gauge is not crucial to this pattern, though keep in mind that it will affect yardage and finished size.
