Lampbloom
This is a slipped stitches double-knit design. The old and the new come together in this children’s scarf pattern.
The motifs of the boy and girl are decorative symbols that date back to the early nineteenth century. The “lampbloom” idea is taken from a modern children’s video game.
The pattern is written to make the double-knitting easy. Only one strand of yarn is worked at a time. Each row is done in two passes.
The pattern is charted with simple written stitch instructions.
