Say hello to Lana! You can call it a tee, a sweater or a jumper.
You can make it as round neck, mock neck or turtle neck,
open back or closed back, short sleeve or long sleeve, you name it all!

I believe most of us are lazy counters (correct me if I’m wrong haha), so please don’t be intimidated by the yoke construction,
I am here to asure you that you don’t have to stick your eyes to count the increase.
++ with the supplementary excel spreadsheet, you don’t have to do the math, the excel will do it for you~

p.s: I know some might say that my written pattern looks so intimidating because of the oh so many pages
and the included spreadsheet. But don’t worry, the thirty something pdf file means there are tons of
step by step picture and diagrams to help you get through it.
++ with the excel spreadsheet, you won’t need to do math, the excel will do it for you
(because I know, I am not the only one who hate math).

About this pattern:
• Pattern is written in English with standard US terms.
• As I am a right-handed, this pattern is written with right-handed crocheters in mind, left-handed crocheters should crochet in different direction).
• This pattern is beginner friendly, it has minimal shaping and made up from basic stitches.
• This crochet pattern works in rows and rounds.
• This is a made to measure pattern, you can always adjust the size and length according to your preference.
• The open back / backless version works best in cropped length. The closed back version works in any length.
• Testers’ lookbook download link can be found inside the PDF FILE (you may refer to the testers’ lookbook for yarn usage).
• This pattern includes EXCEL calculator that will help you calculate the Foundation chain (excel file link can be found in the PDF File)

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DIGITAL
CROCHET PATTERN AND TUTORIAL ONLY,
NOT A FINISHED ITEM / PRODUCT.
There will be NO physical item, product, material or tools to be send.
All the pattern and instruction is written in English, using standard US terms.

Materials & tools needed:
• Any COTTON BLEND / ACRYLIC BLEND YARN #1 fingering weight yarn / #2 Sport weight yarn / #DK weight yarn
• Respective crochet hook for any weight yarn that you choose and one size smaller hook.
• Scissors
• Stitch markers (you will need at least 12 markers, you can use any markers, bobby pin or paper clip also works)
• Measuring tape / ruler

Yarn recommendation:

  • Cotton blend or acrylic blend yarn works better than pure cotton yarn or pure acrylic yarn (pure cotton yarn is less stretchy and pure acrylic is too stretchy).
  • #3 DK weight pure cotton yarn is not recommended (it will be too heavy). #1 fingering weight or #2 sport weight cotton yarn is still fine, but it won’t be stretchy so the end product will not have fitted fit.
  • Kind reminder: mohair, alpaca or other type of fuzzy yarn is not recommended for beginners as it will be hard to work on the ribbing. Would suggest beginners crocheters to use with acrylic blend or cotton blend #3 DK yarn.

Based on my measurement (bust 81 cm), I used:

  • Closed back short sleeve version – acrylic blend: approximately 140gr of #3 DK weight mohair yarn – 4 ply milk cotton yarn, color: turquois, baby pink and white
  • Closed back short sleeve version- mohair: approximately 100gr of #1 fingering weight mohair yarn - WPI 22, color: grey, white and baby blue
  • Closed back long sleeve version- mohair: approximately 140gr of #1 fingering weight mohair yarn - WPI 22, color: grey, white and baby blue
  • Backless short sleeve cropped version – acrylic blend: approximately 120gr of #3 DK weight yarn – 4 ply milk cotton yarn (color: baby yellow)

My testers (ranging from bust circumference 65 cm - 102 cm) used approximately: 380 - 1300 m of yarn
(depends on the yarn weight, bust size, and the sleeve length. I put the detailed info on how much yarn does each testers used in the lookbook)

Crochet hook reference:
you can size up the hook, this pattern works better with looser tension.

  • Backless short sleeve cropped version: 3.50 mm hook for ribbing and edging, 4.00mm for the yoke
  • Closed back (milk cotton) version: 3.50 mm hook for ribbing and edging, 4.00mm for the yoke, 3.50 mm for torso
  • Closed back (mohair) version: 2.50 mm hook for ribbing and edging, 3.00 mm for the yoke
