This cowl is knitted in the round using a chart.

The finished size is 53 cm circumference and 19 cm depth/height.

The pattern is inspired by the beautiful brickwork and setting of Lanercost Priory, Cumbria, north of England, close to Hadrian’s wall.

The Winter version is perfect for bitterly cold days with a snug fit, keeping you warm right up to your chin!

It is a deeper version than the Lanercost Autumn Cowl, with the addition of a corrugated rib at the top, which can be turned down for extra thickness, or used for giving additional depth to the cowl.
