ABOUT
The Laneway Sweater is a fun colorwork project with many options to make it your own. The pattern includes three different yoke depths for your perfect fit, as well as two different colourwork options: yoke or full colourwork. The alternating vertical and horizontal (helical) stripes are fun to work and can show off a unique yarn pairing beautifully. The sweater is a companion to the Laneway Sock pattern which has the same alternating stripe pattern.

EASE
This sweater can fit however you like! I knit the sample to fit the intended wearer with 2 - 4 inches of positive ease. When selecting a size, I would encourage you to think about how you like things to fit your own body. If you like a closer-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with 2 - 4 inches of positive ease. If you like a looser-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with 4 - 8 inches of positive ease, or more!

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
use size needed to obtain gauge, these are the sizes I was able to obtain gauge with:

MAIN FABRIC: 4.5mm (US SIZE 7) circular needles, 32 inches / 80 cm or longer.

RIBBING: 3.5mm (US SIZE 4) circular needles, 32 inches / 80 cm or longer.

NOTIONS
darning needle, to weave in ends
scissors, or other tool for breaking the yarn
4 stitch marker, one that is different to act as a BOR marker
optional: blocking tools

GAUGE
20 sts x 28 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm square
