Bei einem mehrwöchigen Aufenthalt auf der ostfriesischen Insel Langeoog kam mir die Idee eines Sommer-Loop. Er sollte luftig und leicht sein. Mit großen Löchern und von beiden Seiten gleich - das war mir wichtig. Ich habe selber immer keine Lust genau zu schauen, ob so ein Loop nun perfekt sitzt. Einfach zweimal um den Hals wickeln und schon sollte er perfekt aussehen.

Aus der Idee wurde ein Muster und es ist wirklich einfach und auch für Anfängerinnen geeignet.

Das Muster kann mit fast jedem Garn wunderbar gestrickt werden, in der individuellen Breite und Länge - ganz wie es gewünscht wird. Ein bisschen Glanz, Pailletten oder Perlen im Garn machen den Loop elegant und außergewöhnlich.

In a multi-week stay on the east frisian island Langeoog I had the idea of a
summer-loop. It should be light and airy with large holes and it must be reversible. That was important to me, and I myself have always no desire to look closely whether such a loop fits perfectly. Just wrap twice around the neck and then it should look perfect.

This idea has become a pattern and it’s really easy and suitable for beginners.

The pattern can be knit beautifully with almost any yarn in the individual width and length - just as it is desired. A bit of shine, sequins or beads in the yarn will make the loop elegant and extraordinary.

In my example I used a slightly thicker yarn (Aran, 10 ply) with needle size 4,5 (US 7) and 42 stitches. With a length of 1,30 meters, I sewed together the ends of the loop with a kitchener stitch.
