If you’re a fan of long fingerless mitts and Alpine cables, these may be the mitts for you. There are two distinct cables in the mitts. The center cable is quite striking and is bordered by a “traveling” cable that frames the forearm cable. The underside cable is almost identical to the center forearm cable, making this one of my easier cabled mitts to knit. If you like cables. If you have yet to try an alpine cable, this one will be fun for you to both make and wear and will allow you to text, type and knit in style and warmth. The structure of the thumb gusset insures maximum movement.

These mitts are knit using two circular needles, and all the stitches are both charted and written out line by line.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting, purling, cabling, and increasing and decreasing).

The sample was expertly pattern tested by Cathy B, who can be contacted at: hooksandstitcks@gmail.com. The sample was knitted using Fiesta’s Baby Boom yarn, in colorway, Grapevine.
