Laniakea
Available at LoveCrafts
Our galactic cradle in the immeasurable heavens, Laniakea carries us ever onwards. Night winds will forevermore sail us dreamers through the celestial seas.
We are starstuff. We are the infinite.
Laniakea is a fingering weight beanie, knit from the brim-up. An easy lace pattern flows in almost nebulous structures towards a gently spiraling ribbed crown.
Laniakea is our Local Supercluster and home to our Milky Way Galaxy. The name, taken from the Hawaiian language means “immeasurable heavens” and pays homage to the early Polynesian sailors who successfully navigated the Pacific Ocean by using the stars as their guides.
