Lantana Haze
This pattern is part of the Prairie Bliss Collection from Hill Country Weavers.
Suggested Skill Level
Advanced Beginner (must be comfortable using stitch markers and slipping stitches)
Materials
Throughout the scarf, one strand of each yarn is held together (A of Root Sizing Silk + A of Silk Mohair Hand-Dyed Kasuri).
Habu N-6B Root Sizing Silk (100% silk; 88yds/14g).
• 2 (3) balls color 4, purple (A)
• 2 (3) balls color 6, green (B)
• 1 (2) ball(s) color 1, orange (C)
Habu A-32D Silk Mohair Hand-Dyed Kasuri (60% silk, 40%
mohair; 186yds/14g) in:
• 1 (2) balls color 59, purple (A)
• 1 (2) balls color 202, green (B)
• 1 (1) ball color 205, red (C)
When substituting yarns, swatch in stockinette stitch and wet block to make sure characteristic stockinette stitch curl can be blocked out. Scarf will be curly until blocked. When calculating how much of the substitute yarn is needed, note that in the shorter length scarf, each stripe uses almost exactly 1 ball of Root Sizing Silk.
