Four variations of a simple circular motif that decorate this hat create an effect which reminds of the light seen through the glass panels in an old lantern. This simple cap fits a small or medium female head, or the head of a child or a teen. It is worked in the round from the bottom-up, except for the garter stitch border which is knitted flat to avoid purling.
