Lapsang is a deep, large triangular shawl. It is knit using one strand of fingering weight yarn held together with one strand of mohair lace, making this shawl incredibly warm and soft. It begins with a garter tab, stockinette and garter ridges, and has a big lace border.
Lapsang is perfect to wrap around your shoulders, or wear around your neck during chilly days.

Lace instructions are charted only.

Yarn

800m / 875yd of fingering weight yarn (400m / 437yd for 100g) held together with one strand of mohair lace yarn (420m / 459yd for 50g).
Sample is knit using The Woolly Skein Fingers Crossed and BombX in the Plum colorway.

Gauge

19 stitches x 28 rows = 10cm / 4” in stockinette after blocking
For this pattern, gauge isn’t critical but will affect yardage and final dimensions.

Needles

4,5mm / US 7 or needle size to obtain gauge.

Lenght: approximately 177cm / 69,5’’
Depth: approximately 85cm / 33,5’’

Lapsang est un châle triangulaire avec beaucoup d’ampleur et de profondeur. Il commence par du jersey, rompu par plusieurs lignes de point mousse qui lui apportent de la structure et encadrent délicatement les larges sections de dentelle de la bordure.
Tricoté avec un fil de laine mérinos tenu en double avec un brin de mohair, il est aussi doux que chaud. Ses dimensions généreuses permettent de se lover douillettement dedans, tandis que porté en écharpe, ses pans sont assez longs pour le faire tenir en place avec un nœud.

Les instructions pour la dentelle sont données sous forme de diagramme.

Pour ce modèle, l’échantillon n’est pas crucial mais affectera la quantité de laine nécessaire et les dimensions du châle terminé.
