This is a quick and easy little scarflet, or triangular neck scarf, worked in fingering weight yarn. Gauge really does not matter. I promise. Just pick a yarn you like and choose a needle size that produces a drape that suits you and enjoy.

Techniques used in the pattern: provisional cast-on, knit (there is no purling in this pattern), yo, k2tog, sewn bind-off. Please note there are no written instructions for the lace section so you must be able to read a chart.

As some ravelers have mentioned, there is no key included the lace chart. I’ve used what I think of as pretty standard lace symbols:

blank white space = K on RS, P on WS
- = P on RS, K on WS
/ = k2tog
O = yo

What’s in a Name? I think of this little pattern just as “scarflet,” but that’s probably not a proper name. So I thought back to my inspiration for this piece. It’s “almost Multnomah” since that pattern served as my inspiration for this piece. Naturally, I looked at the names of all of the other waterfalls around Multnomah Falls and “Larch” was the one that stuck.
